15 minutes from the historic Old San Juan city center and five minutes from the international airport, the hotel is located on a sequestered corner of an eight-acre stretch of beach on Isla Verde, one of the prettiest beaches on the island.
With a pale, modern façade and terraced pools leading down to the beach, The Ritz is one of the nicest spots in San Juan.
And from someone who doesn't like elevators - it has big roomy fast ones. Sweet spot dining in the covered outdoor cafe in the rain. Main resturant has fab food. Little refrig in the room stocked with costly little bottles and snacks. Everything is expensive, but room is cleaned 2x a day. |

Puerto Rico is said to have the highest car density in the world, it certainly has some of the worst traffic, particularly in transit to San Juan or to the beach on a sunny day.
Regrettably the view from the main coastal routes offer wires, power lines, fast food, heavy traffic and chain stores without any regard for beauty.
The lush interior and beautiful ocean views can be found hidden away on little winding roadways. |
